The name
Kundi is Hausa for a register: a bound record book. That is what the product is, so the name does the explaining. It also means group or set in Swahili, which leaves East Africa open later without a rename.
The mark is a register too. A stitched spine on the left, two ruled rows, and a third row in gold that has been filled in. It was drawn to survive at 16 pixels and in one-colour printing, because it will end up in the footer of every report card and receipt a school issues.
Why indigo
Kano's dye pits at Kofar Mata have been producing indigo for six hundred years, and indigo is also the colour of ink in a ledger. A register, written in Kano indigo. The gold carries the one thing that matters most on any screen: the entry that has been filled in, the amount received, the button to press.
What we are doing now
We are onboarding our first schools. That is the honest position, and we would rather say it than claim a customer count you could check and find wrong. If you run a school and you are willing to be early, you will get more of our attention than you would later.
Being early means we build against your actual term dates, your grade bands, your report card layout and your fee structure, rather than a generic model of a school that matches nobody.

How to reach us
Email is read by a person, not a ticket queue. If it is easier, message the WhatsApp number: most school proprietors we work with would rather send a voice note than fill in a form, and that is fine.
